About

Built for the HR Teams Enterprise Tools Ignore

Career Ladder Builder is a focused tool for HR Managers and People Operations leads at 30–200 employee companies — the companies that need career structure most but can't justify $11/user/month for a platform where career pathing is a secondary module.

Our mission

Rovaryn Digital Inc. builds focused B2B SaaS tools for the "missing middle" — markets too small for enterprise vendors to bother with and too large for spreadsheets to serve. Career Ladder Builder is our HR People Development cluster anchor: before you can track skills, before you can benchmark compensation, you need to know what competencies matter at each career level in your organization. That's what we built.

The product story

Career development in a 40-person company today is managed through a patchwork of disconnected tools: a spreadsheet career ladder that managers ignore, informal 1:1 notes that live in Notion, review forms that arrive over email, and promotion discussions that happen without documented criteria. The consequences are severe: employees disengage when advancement criteria are opaque, managers waste time reconstructing context for every review cycle, and HR leaders face real legal exposure when promotion decisions can't be defended with documented, competency-based criteria.

Career Ladder Builder replaces that patchwork with a single, structured workflow — framework definition to evaluation to gap report to development action — at a flat rate that doesn't punish you for growing your team from 30 to 150 employees.

What we value

Focused over feature-rich

We deliberately do not build 360° feedback, OKRs, compensation management, or performance review forms. We build one workflow — career framework → evaluate → gap report → action item — and we build it well.

Defensible by design

Evidence notes on every competency score. Admin approval before any evaluation finalizes. Timestamped records. The platform is built for the HR Manager who knows that someday a promotion decision will be challenged.

Flat-rate by principle

Per-user pricing creates a perverse incentive: the tool gets more expensive as your team grows, which is exactly when you need it most. Flat-rate pricing means the value narrative holds at every headcount.

Grounded in public data

Competency templates sourced from the U.S. Department of Labor's O*NET database — a publicly accessible, credibility-signaling alternative to AI-generated competency statements that might be plausible-sounding but not occupationally grounded.
